I still have the Cruise control setup from my S52 and would like to adapt it to fit the S50B32, but it seems the cable is too short.
I checked RealOEM and the cable #'s are the same

I looked into doing this last year but it seems to be a hell of a lot of work and would you really prefer if your M3 drove itself!!
I'm pretty sure there is a good write up with pics over on M3F if i can find it I'll stick a link in here.

Unless you plan on taking very extended trips on highways I would say the E36 cruise control system isn't worth the effort to retrofit it.
Helpful post, I know. :rolleyes

I do take trips, and I'm not actually retrofitting it. The car had/has cruise control already from the factory when it had the US S52 motor. I just want to find out what cable modifications are necessary between the actuator and throttle plate to get the same system to work on the Euro motor.

It should work if the part numbers are the same.

Used the cruise control from my S50 95 M3 and bought the longer cruise cable from the Evo. Fit like a champ, and works fine. Came in handy on my way down to Roebling from Atlanta. 4 hours of :sleep

what about retrofitting from m50, or s30b30us (i saw that they are the same) to a s50b30 ?
I have on my car all the setup from my ex-m50, of course, except for the throttle body, and I would like to make it work.

Hell no !!! ive never considered cruise control for my car.
I have:
NO Airbags
NO Cats
NO Cruise control
NO Traction control
NO Tires (I have to get myself a new set LOL)
Just RAW S50B30 power.... and well ABS ;)
And I can manage to live without them pretty well :)

Awesome Jonathan, do you have a actual P/N by any chance? The ones I cross referenced on RealOEM came up the same for US and Euro.
Razzie, sounds like you shouldn't try getting an inspection if it's raining out!:lol
