This is the upgraded tensioner developed for the 95 M3, but it works in all M50, M52 and S50 motors. Includes new crush washer. PN 11-31-1-405-081.
If you have chain slap or other noises from the VANOS area, try this before you change out your VANO$$$. Pelican Parts has a simple DIY here

Bought this part last winter, then wrecked the car before installing the new tensioner. Cost me $102.25, but Pelican has reduced the price (?) to $90, so I am offering it here for $50 including shipping within the lower 48.
