For $30,000 I'd get the 03 540i with the special sport package for the final year. Not nearly as rare but at least they sell at market value.

Yeah i was thinking the same thing for the price. Just something about these that pulls me to them... these and the '95 540i Ms, but I'll probably never get one, to much money.

Too bad I didn't have the cash to buy John's silver M540. He only wanted $12k but ended up getting around $15k for it. It was perfect and had like 80k miles. What a shame :( I got to drive it with the short shifter and chip. What a blast. Torque monster

Ya, that guy has been selling his for sooooooooooo long, i think it has high km's to. Theres definatly cheaper e34 m5's out there, and ya, thats way out of my price range.
