Do any of you guys have any suggestions for removing cooked on grime from the inside of Aluminum Wheels? I have tried simple green, aircraft stripper, Brakeclean, and Gasoline, the only other things I can think of is sandpaper or bead blasting. Anyone know of any other simple options?:help

Aluminum? Really? You sure?

To remove baked-on dust from my BMW wheels before selling, I've taken them to a car wash and while still dry, sprayed them down with 'etching MAG wheel cleaner'. After 30 seconds of soaking I spray it off. Anything that doesn't come off the first time gets hit again for 30 seconds and brushed before being sprayed off.

well I'm removing the grim off of 4 BLITZ Type 01s for my friends S2K. I bet that BMW Wheel cleaner cost is high!! But thanks

I used Armor All wheel cleaner to do mine.
Simple green to clean the dirt off and the AA afterward.
Scrubbed with wire brush before AA then used a cloth with gloves on to wipe AA around.
Didn't get it all the first time, but much, much better after 3 years of never doing it.
I plan on painting black in the near future so I don't have to do this again.
Wheel looks cheap when outside lip chrome and inside alum.
