I have an early 2007 328xi sedan. When I bought mine I noticed that all the 328 and 335 coupes had chrome accent radio knobs which look great and actually match the chrome accent HVAC knobs (if you don't have the iDrive).
For 2007 BMW changed the HVAC knobs by adding chrome accents to them. But becasue they had a inventory of plain radio knobs they continued to put them on the 2007 sedans until they ran out and put the new knobs on the coupes. Go to a dealer and you will notice all the latest 2007 sedans now have the chrome accent radio knobs.
Well I went out and purchased these new knobs, quite expensive at $14.95 each, but in my opinion they look great and now match the style of the HVAC knobs they both have chrome accents and ridges for gripping.
