Here's the detailing setup I'm about to start on my lightly-swirled E36.

1. Degrease underbody, wheel wells, etc. Clean engine compartment w/GUNK. No advice needed here.

2. Wash/dry with Meguiar's Car Wash soap, microfiber mitt & microfiber towels. Clean wheels using sponge & separate bucket.

3. Use Mother's clay kit to remove contaminants from the entire car. If any clay is left over, clay wheels.

4. PC7424 w/Orange Pad & 3M Perfect-It III Rubbing Compound to remove deeper swirls. Buff off by hand with a microfiber.

5. Follow up with 3M PI3 Machine Glaze on a White Pad to remove hazing from the previous step. Buff off by hand with a microfiber.

6. Apply Klasse AIO via hand.

7. Apply 2 coats Klasse SG via hand.

8. Apply 2 coats S100 as a top coat.

9. Forever black trim, complete interior detailing w/Aerospace 303 & Windex for glass.

Question:

1. How long should I wait between each of the "wax" steps? Particularly between the AIO -> SG, each coat of SG, and the S100?

2. Anything you all would change?

You should start with milder compound/pad and if that doesn't work- move on to more abrasive stuff. Scratch Windex from your list/. I prefer foaming aerosol cans like Stoner's from Autogeek.

Alright. So maybe start out with the white pad & the PI3 MG, rather than going right to the orange pad w/the RC?

Just wanted to makes sure your going to wash the wheels first, then the car right?

After you put on the AIO you should be able to apply one coat of SG, then wait 24 hours for the second coat.

Not sure on the wax, since they are all different. Check the directions. But it would not hurt to wait a day to apply another coat.

And yeah dont use windex

I've done that exact process before minus the polishing steps (new car).

You can go from the AIO to the first coat of SG almost instantly. The time between coats of SG depends on humidity and temperature. I waited 12 hours between coats (ie. apply; wait 12 hours; buff; apply again) in near 100% humidity/75 degree weather. You can try less time between coats or use a different product (I've heard good things about Menzerna Full Molecular Jacket). The problem some people run into with Klasse SG if they don't wait long enough is hazing and ridiculously difficult product removal. I just use a damp MF towel to remove it or Sonus QD.

The S100 can be applied right after you buff the final application of the SG. I don't usually layer carnuba waxes, but I would wait about 30 minutes between coats if you wanted to. Good luck and post before/after pictures!

EDIT: I especially wouldn't layer S100, it doesn't hold up long no matter how many layers you use. I am sure you will be plenty happy with a single coat anyway. Save time, don't apply multiple layers of S100 and instead just wax after every wash.

you're not going to get very far with out a rotary and some mezerna.

Sounds good. Cover my car if I must store it outside between coats of wax, of course? Yes, I'm washing the wheels first.
