Sorry to hear that. This is a bad way to do your first post.
Get as much money from the insurance co and then buy back the car and part it out. We'll always need parts. Did you have anything done to the car?

Take what you get from the insurance company and buy a new car. Parting is often more of a pain then it is worth. You also need the time, place, tools and willing to wait for things to sell. Once you figure in time (disassembly, storage, packing, shipping...) you hardly make money.

That sucks. This is why I refuse to park my car on the side of the road, even if it is a big POS.

Maybe $500.
Unless you have access to someplace to keep the vehicle and time to strip it, parting is not worth your time.
Get some stock wheels and tires and swap out the M5 wheels at the yard, then sell those.
Sorry to hear about the car.

for what its worth, my 1992 325i sedan was totaled in january (and the police said it was my fault but it honestly was not) it cost a total of 4.9k to get everything running again...and the car had just hit 249500 miles.
call me crazy, but to this day i would make the same decision.
