These cars can hit 270 km/h or higher under the right conditions (sea level, cool temperatures and a smooth run with enough distance to get up to speed - and stop once you reach it). :eyecrazy

I haven't really tried to get mine up to that, but I believe mine is de-limited as well, because of it 7/94 build date. I was able to take it to 5th gear (my top gear) at about 5,500 rpms...doing about 245km/h to 250km/h not really that precise about it as I was concentrating on not crashing! It feels like it can keep on going...but of course, I can't...and my gearing is limited to 5 speed only.

Its so cool how Canadian EURO models have a badge and a number...I'm so envious!

You don't have much to be envious of when you have such a fine automobile in your stable. :buttrock

mine's delimited, no autobahn's here though, i've reached 260kph on some highways @~7000+rpm in 5th but it was obvious it could reach more (still pulling relatively strongly)

btw at those speeds our speedos will be way off, so rely more on your gear ratio's,final drive, and tacho readings :)

btw are the speedo's so off at those speeds cuz of the tire expanding at those speeds ? anybody know exactly why ?

I have 3.64 diff, 235/45/17 tyres, and easily hit 8000rpm in 5th which is 1:1 ratio, so that is 166mph or 267km/h
with standard 3.15 diff, it will do 191mph or 307kp/h

Hmm, not sure if the tires really expand at those speeds...I guess it depends on the tire ratings. but I assume it is the same reason why funny cars and top fuel drag cars tires expand...must be centripital force.

My Euro 3.2 is de-limited, 173 mph backed up by gps flat out in top and the 'gear switch' on tranny removed as it cuts fueling down in 6th gear otherwise which drops it to 166mph.

Mine goes to 260km hour on a GPS... Done that many times on the way to Nurburgring... but then its out of gears/revs since its only a 5speed. That was done on semislicks, and since they have a bit larger diameter than the OEM the speedometer is 100% correct, but on the OEM size it goes to 270km/h on the speedo.

Im not sure what final drive I have, probably 3.64.
