No, I've seen an E46 330Ci with SMG here in Corvallis...so they do exist.

It was an option on later 330's and 3.0 z4's. However, the SMG in those vehicles did not get as good of reviews as in the M3. They are pretty rare though, good luck in your search, one will pop up eventually.

Incorrect but like the poster above me said, the reviews for it were far from amazing.

It was also offered on e46 325i's as well as other models, just damn near impossible to find one.

yea my neighbor has a 330 vert with smg. thats the only one ive ever seen though. VERY RARE.

Are you sure it's an actual SMG or just an Auto with Steering Wheel Paddle-Shifter like the Sports Package 335i E92? Does it have a Torque Converter or a electronically driven Clutch?

It's actual SMG...a manual transmission with an electronically controlled clutch. BMW just started the auto-paddle thing with the 335i/535i.

I wouldn't exactly call the e46 non M cars SMG a manual as much so as the M3's SMG, I don't know if you followed that lol, but there was a huge distance, no launch control, nothing, it was very basic therefore it garnered terrible reviews. The SMG in the regular 3s were very different than the ones in the M's. Anyways, now that we have established they exist back to the original post, good luck in your hunt! There are even less out there since ours was totalled a couple years back.

SMG in both M and non-M cars was physically a manual transmission, that's what I was saying.
