so i just got my 97 528iA back from the dealer after an EWS malfunction. im driving home, and the roads are pretty wet so im taking it easy for a change and totally out of the blue, the yellow triangle light with the exclamation point in it (traction contol i think) comes on, along with the ABS light. i REALLY dont feel like giving the dealer any more of my hard earned money, so does anyong have any experience/ideas?

Might be your module, its common with our car... you can have it rebuilt for lik 300$

sounds like a bad/loose speed sensor- I think.

this could also happen when your battery is half dead also, I had the same thing happen to me on my E38 and changed out the battery and never came back since

hmm interesting... ive got two more questions though,

1. what is my module

2. is the speed sensor something with that decent mechanical abilitys i could replce?
