Phil's Foriegn Auto, near SMCC campus. Bruce knows his stuff. Check out his website. South Portland by the way.

You are wasting your time if you don't go to Autowerkes Maine. Voit Ritch is the owner. He is a bimmer owner, racer, collector, and wrench. His shop is the best in Maine bar none. You are lucky because he had been located in Gardiner for many years. He just relocated to a newer, nicer facility on Route 1 in Freeport. About 1 mi north of the BFI (Big "Freeport" Indian). Get off at exit 17 of the 295 northbound, the Yarmouth Freeport exit. Go north about 2 miles, he's on the right - you'll see a bunch of mini's for sale parked out front.

His number is 865-6600. Website is autowerkesmaine.com

I don't know him, but before I would take my bimmer anywhere I would want to know if he owns all the latest diagnostic equipment and computers for BMW. Autowerkes Maine has all that and he sends his techs to BMW school every year to stay current.

I know him, and I would trust him with any car older than a 2000. He is a very small shop, Audi's, BMW, and Volvo's. As you know, the most recent diagnostic equip is exspensive which is why so few shops have it. He is local and worth a visit. But I agree about Voit and his shop, didn't know he moved to Freeport. Thanks for the tip.

I'm whoring for Voit in part because his move to Freeport put him about 1 mile from my house. I told him if he moved I would plug him shamelessly to help him build his business. :devillook Fortunately he is the best. I am not only his pitchman, I am also a client! :buttrock
