has anyone tried turtle wax newest wax , ice ? i just bought some it was 17$ and came with a micro fibre cloth . its a clear liquid and omg its so easy to appy and polish and it gives a very deep shine . the thing i liked the most is how easy it is around the moldings . unlike other waxes u dont worry about white residue . not only dont u get that residue it acually gives your trim a nice black look . all and all i highly recommend it .

NP, just about everytime a new product comes out, someone tries it and posts about it.
You should read that thread and see the pics.

The best wax you are going to find at regular auto stores, walmart etc.. is meguiars nxt hands down.

IDK about that ICE.
Kind of gives an artificial shine. I imagine it's a silicone product like Armor All although I've never used it.
First pics i saw of the results impressed me, but I have never seen in person.

I've used it a couple of times on my test "mule"....a Suzuki Vitara (daughter's daily beater...and it's a beater).

I found that the product gives an 'ok' shine for 3-4 days in summer sun BUT does a great job on faded trim. She has these flat black door handles that are faded and Ice did a nice job of bringing them back to black and that lasted for quite a while.

That's my $0.00002 (after taxes)

You wax your car every day....?

I'm sorry guys, but I have given up on ICE completely. Even the detailer that I thought was good seems to streak badly.

well what do you guys recommend? i think ice is good because it doesnt matter if the car is hot and it goes on really easy, you dont have to worry about any trim.

good results and most waxes dont last very long anyways

Not true at all. I personally use Meguiar's NXT, and I don't have a garage to work in so I just apply it directly in the sun...on black paint. Now granted it will stain your trim, but I have found a small toothbrush and some Vinyl/rubber cleaner work fantastic. This works great anyways because regardless of staining the trim or not, you should treat it anyways with a vinyl/rubber cleaner/conditioner.

NXT looks fantastic as well, and lasts months.

AutoGeek (http://www.autogeek.net/) is an online retailer for a HUGE selection of different car care products. They also host this forum (hence the "Sponsored by Autogeek.net).

I like the stuff alot. It only takes 10 minutes or so to do the whole car, you don't have to stop and wipe or anything. It's more of an in between thing than anything though, I'll still use decent wax and polish on occasion. That clay bar shit they have though, is just that, shit, stay away from that stuff

NO lil turtle is good enough for my ///M. I use NXT, it gives a deep wet shine and makes the out side of the car smell good for about 5 min after waxing. ;)

+1...

I did Pinnacle Souvern a couple times but didn't like how long it lasted. Tried Meguires NXT and the shine was great and it's still going, twice the time of the Pinnacle...

I've spent multiples of money for poorer product than the NXT.

As for ICE, it is what it is. Simple. But I would rather take a teeny bit more care to use NXT once that use ICE 10 times over and over trying to maintain a shine that's not as nice. For me, the fact that it leaves no residue on crap you shouldn't get it on is not a "feature", neither is apply in direct sunlight (I don't want to be working in direct sunlight anyway). That it performse better in irrelevant situations isn't an upsell.
