clicky clicky (http://www.ebizautos.com/autobahn/photo_viewer.cfm?iid=17837&w=830&pid=7) i knew i shoulda bought the imola red when i saw it at the dealership:( :( the moment i saw it, i was instantly in :love1 it looked exactly like that. then i let it pass to look for a cheaper one. so instead i got my black/black for $46k used with 12k miles on it. not too too bad, but damn how rare is that imola red? i really want to sell mine for one!!! i would def. be doing this...:alright who here has one? or has any nice pics of one?? and does anyone know the rarity of the color? i think it was only available on the 740i sport's that started in 2000, but im not sure.

Honey, don't feel bad. I wish every day that I had a black on black instead of my white on black. When ever I see a black on black I coo, "ooh those are my colors!" and I watch it go by sadly. I don't do that for red 7 series. The 7 is too big to be red, if you want to know my opinion. Be happy with your black on black! Don't loose money trading it in.

You can always have it painted with the money you saved...

ahhh shucks.. black on black is still nice:) since i bought it a little over a year ago, i only put 2000 miles on it but never have had the time to fully detail it. especially with all the snow we've been getting, it just stopped today. at a good 26 inches....im actually in the market for another bmw too, my nissan just got in another accident. 3rd in 6 months, all not my fault though, black on black too lol. i think its bad luck, maybe its possessed by the :evil2 :eek: :laugh

i have only seen one. and its nice with sport package and shadowline trim and lightly tinted windows.

my car is actually black w/ light silver (almost white) interior too it which i have actually grown even more fond of than black on black. the contrast gives the car more of a "tuxedo" look/feel to it.

anyway as far as the red goes... the 7 is big but still a drivers car. i think the red makes it look even more sporty, but it all depends on the look you are going for.

either way, you have your 7, thats what matters - and like matt said you could always paint it

I considering colors now for a '99 to '01 740 sport. We had a 90 740il black on gray interior and then got a '98 740il black on black. The black on gray was much nicer a combination.

I really like the red but haven't seen it in person yet.

Definitely unique and different..I would of loved an Imola Red E38!
