I have a 02 X5 with 50k and received a Check Brake lingings warning. Took the car to Midas and back rotors, sensors and pads replaced. How do i get rid of the warning?

I have a 02 X5 4.6is, and the Check Brake linings light just came on, what pads did you replace the stock ones with?

The warning light should reset itself after the sensors are replaced.

KOEO ( key on engine off ) for about thirty second to one minute. Warning should turn off, unless there is an open circuit on the brake sensor circuit. If it does not reset, you may want to inspect the sensors. They are located at the drivers front and passengers rear inboard brake pad. Take a look if the sensors are there. A new sensor would have a 3MM raised center along the area that would come into contact with the rotors. If you have a small mirror, you can take a look. Make sure the front sensor is not contacting the rotors. If so, you probably need to replace the front brakes. Hopefully the light will reset after leaving the key on!
