Someone who knows answer quick so i can get the part by tomorow i'd do the 3.46 myself... i use more low-end razahyde 05-30-2007, 12:37 AM i'd do the 3.46 myself... i use more low-end +1 russiamutha 05-30-2007, 01:06 AM i'd go for 3.46 since you have 6sp anyway. SG_M3 05-30-2007, 02:41 AM 3.46 wouldn't be my choice in a turbo car. I'd leave the 3.09. schneid4323 05-30-2007, 03:00 AM 3.46 wouldn't be my choice in a turbo car. I'd leave the 3.09. there is almost no turbo lag though, im pretty sure it would stay the same, i cant think of any other negatives on the diff if you changed it. The auto's are faster 0-100 because of the diff. The auto's are faster 0-100 because of the diff. With taller gearing you'll build more boost sooner. You will also be able to put all that torque to the ground in lower gears. I'm guess you aren't going to stay stock turbos, so more boost more power more traction issues. If you are planning on staying at the power level you're at, then do the 3.46. Most e36 turbo guys stay 3.23 and low. Big hp guys run 2.93's. schneid4323 05-30-2007, 03:22 AM With taller gearing you'll build more boost sooner. Yeah i may go to the 3.46 untill i rebuild the turbos and motor, im only peaking at about 14~ psi so it shouldnt be an issue yet. bimmerd00d 05-30-2007, 09:59 AM there is almost no turbo lag though, im pretty sure it would stay the same, i cant think of any other negatives on the diff if you changed it. The auto's are faster 0-100 because of the diff. Regardless of the car, there's always lag in a turbo. Granted, the 335 has less of it due to the design, but when you crank up the boost, you will also increase the lag during the build. A higher ratio will make you shift more, and be out of boost. What good is 450hp if you can't use it until 80mph. Think MkIV Supra. schneid4323 05-31-2007, 06:55 AM Regardless of the car, there's always lag in a turbo.
