Should help you put your power down to the ground better so you can actually go completely through the fence this time!

I think stock gearing, but i'd let him answer that since he'd know better. it's the quaife/hartge diff... so .... mike what gears?

I'd go 2.10 or 2.23

that way you can hit 250mph or so.

i'd go for 3.46 since you have 6sp anyway.

3.46 wouldn't be my choice in a turbo car. I'd leave the 3.09.

there is almost no turbo lag though, im pretty sure it would stay the same, i cant think of any other negatives on the diff if you changed it. The auto's are faster 0-100 because of the diff.

With taller gearing you'll build more boost sooner. You will also be able to put all that torque to the ground in lower gears. I'm guess you aren't going to stay stock turbos, so more boost more power more traction issues.

If you are planning on staying at the power level you're at, then do the 3.46.

Most e36 turbo guys stay 3.23 and low. Big hp guys run 2.93's.

Yeah i may go to the 3.46 untill i rebuild the turbos and motor, im only peaking at about 14~ psi so it shouldnt be an issue yet.

Regardless of the car, there's always lag in a turbo. Granted, the 335 has less of it due to the design, but when you crank up the boost, you will also increase the lag during the build. A higher ratio will make you shift more, and be out of boost. What good is 450hp if you can't use it until 80mph. Think MkIV Supra.

yeah but 3.06 is really high, i think a 3.46 would be just what the car needs... but im no expert
