I have read many postings on the tension strap problem and why the lid hits the convertible top. Additionally, I spent numerous hours this weekend studying my top and how it functions. I believe I understand how it works and where bungee cords should be placed as a substitute for the tension straps.
But, before I place the bungee cords in place I was wondering if you could explain where you placed yours and if they are working as intended.
TIA

Interesting, I just got a PM from someone else about this.
I've been really busy lately & haven't had the spare hours I used to have for messing around on the interweb. Its kind of nice!
I finally have a few days off now though. I didnt actually do the repair myself, but I have had no problems what-so-ever with it in the past few years since its been done. Ill go spend some time with the top tomorrow and take some better pics & describe how it was done. It looks really simple though - Im estimating 15 minutes per side, max.

Thanks, any information would be appreciated.
I believe I know what needs to be done and I am currently looking for the best type of elastic for the job. But, if yours is working properly it will help me with my fix.
When I am done I will post the information for all since I will have first hand knowledge on the fix.
