View Full Version : Post your Aftermarket Wheel Pics Here
V Shah 03-06-2001, 06:14 PM Let's start a thread with everyone posting pics of their car with aftermarket wheels. Post size of rim, size of tire, and fitment issues (fender rolling, etc.)
This would be a good place for people to see what kind of rims would look good on their car.
Well. . .you've seen mine before:
18" Hartge Classics
F 225/40R18 Nitto 555
R 255/35R18 Kumho 712
Rear fenders rolled.
Black Majik 03-08-2001, 08:06 PM AC Schnitzer Type IIIs in chrome
225/40/18 Bridgestones Potenza RE730
No fender rolling required.
Andrew 97M3 03-08-2001, 08:21 PM 18x8.5 Hamann HM2's
235/40/18 Sumitomo's all around

SMSilver97 03-09-2001, 10:49 AM 18x8.5 Fittipaldi Formula et38?
Toyo Proxes FZ4 225/40-18
These were on car when I bought it. I think the 225's are too small for 8.5" rims. Will go larger when they wear out.
AlEkZ 03-15-2001, 03:20 PM Here's mine, 18", 225/40/18 all around...no fitment issues.

Nug, sjtrance and Andrew,
what are the tire sizes, front and rear that you used on the 18x8.5 HM2 wheels? any rubbing or fender rolling at all? and any of you lower your car? I am thinking of buying the same wheels so I need the info. Thanks.
AlexT 05-05-2001, 01:18 AM I just love 5 skinny spokes as you can tell.
Both are MM11-2
540 is on Bridgestone SO2 pp 245/40/17 Fr & 255/35/17 Rr No rubs.
After loosing 2 sets of 18s, I'm sticking w/17s.
AlexT 05-05-2001, 01:21 AM Here is my M3 w P-Zeros and stock size.
AlexT 05-05-2001, 01:22 AM How do you guys like my painted engine?
SJTrance 05-05-2001, 12:35 PM In regards to the tire size question, I'm running on 225/40/18 Khumo 712's all around. I've got my suspension dropped with H&R Sport Springs, and stock shocks. I've also rolled the rear fenders since I'm planning to get some bigger tires next time. I mainly tried the conservative sizing I have because this is my first set of 18" wheels. That's what I would do if Iwere you. Get a feel for em and see what you want to do next time. Next time, I'm going 245 or 255/35/18 in the rear, and 235/35/18 in front. I've also heard that 235/35/18 fit perfect all around.
I have Mille Miglia Spider 17 inch rims on Bridestone Potenza RE730. Lowered with eibach pro-kit. No rubbing problems. Looking to sell and step up to 18's instead!!

empowerd 05-17-2001, 03:04 PM I know almost eveyone these days are driving E36's, So I thought it would be a pleasant change to post pics of my wheels. They're Compomotive MO 18's measuring 18"x 8" with a +23mm ET. The first tires I used were Yokohama Parada's measuring 225/35 ZR18. Very happy with the performance (even on the track). Recently got sponsored by Vortech and Toyo, so now I have Toyo Proxes T1S also measuring the same size as the Yoke's. Absolutely no fender mods done and the result: No rubbing, even with a near 3" drop. It's all in the offset baby!http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1416587&a=10594435&p=45252700&Sequence=0&res=high
ALDOGG 05-20-2001, 11:09 PM Here's mine:
18.8.5 & 9.5 Kinesis Motorsport K20's
Dunlop SP8000 225/40 frt, 255/35 rr.
Had to clearance inner rr fenderwell and slightly roll outer wells.
V Shah 06-19-2001, 05:56 PM Come on guys, keep those pics coming!
nydog 06-21-2001, 08:05 PM Mille Miglia Evo 17s with Kumho 235/40s all around
kalib0y 06-22-2001, 12:33 AM 19 x 9 in the front and 19 x 10.5 rear 3-peice forged HRE with gunmetal center and polished lip. I have a wide body so they seem to fit, but there are signs of rubbing in the fenderwells because of my ride height, but nothing major. Oh and i am on NITTO NT555ZR extreme 245/35 in front and 275/30 rear
Mpower007 07-03-2001, 02:26 PM 19x9 front and 19x10 rear.
