I have my old starter from my E36 M3 (1997 S52), let me know if you can use it (If it will work for your application), engine had 80k miles on it, so it should still work just fine for you)

ok so today i found out the problem might not be my starter, so here i was going into my garage ready to push start my car down the driveway w/ the help of my dad, suddenly before i push start it, i try to crank the ignition and suddenly it cranks and starts like normal. so now i dont know what the problem is, can anyone tell me why this is so? also... it's been starting perfect the whole day so far which i tried it in a total of 3 times already and have yet to have a failed attempt.
