I took my powerflow exhaust off today and put the orig back on only to notice how close the trye is to the exhaust,

The tyre is going to be changed next week, at the mo 255/40/18 can i put 245/40/18 and will it give a little more room.

255 is vvvvvvvvverrrryyy wide for the e36!

That definitely doesn't fit. I wouldn't put that size on my car.

so i'll change the rear tyre's

245/40/18

225/40-18 is the normal size.

If you go 245, I think you need a 35 or maybe even 30 tyre wall height size, unless you want balloon tyres.
