hey guys, i live about halfway between B'ham(50mi) and Huntsville(30mi).
my question is in either of these towns, are there any clubs that let 18 year olds in? i know most are 19 to get in 21 to drink. the reason i ask is that my gf wants to go clubbin, but shes only 18, im 19 so im not worried about gettin in. TIA

19 is the legal age in Alabama. Caught me off guard a few times, because its 18 in TN (and almost everywhere else).

I hear all the time on the shitty radio stations in this city about some club downtown that is 18 to enter 21 to drink. I dont remember which one though. But im sure on the age.

The age of majority is 19 for Alabama. So what does that mean?
It means you can make your decisions such buying a car (enforceable contracts), etc etc w/o parental consent.

So what does this have anything to do with getting into clubs?
Not a darn thing. Most underage clubs that serves alcohol have a min age as either 18 or 21 years of age.
I just want to give everyone a quick lesson on what the age of majority means...

To answer your questions about Bham clubs:
1)Club Tantra - 18 to get in, 21 to drink
2)Banana Joes - 18 to get in, 21 to drink
3)maybe and dont' quote me on this new club "11:20"

Those clubs are located in Southside/5points in Bham....few blocks from where I live. There may be more clubs in that area that are 18 and over.

Huntsville is 19 to get in, 21 to drink everywhere. I didn't realize Birmingham was any different. We went down to Southside a few times, used to go out to Tiki Bob's or whatever that place was before it shut down, but we were all 21 or older by then.

The radio advertised that new club, "11:20" as 18 to get in and 21 to drink.

I think that place, "Tiki Bob" is now "Banana Joes".

Be warn that there's some "dress" code policy at these young clubs. No baseball caps, hats or whatever to cover your head.
I'm not sure if baggy/saggy jeans are a go either.

Good luck and be safe at these clubs because there's always some fight that breaks out due to the ethnicity of the crowds. Oh yeah, they are now patting people down for weapons.

I haven't had to worry about this issue for 14 years, I feel old.
In the late 80's when I was in high school all of us knew a little hole in ground store in the middle of nowhere that would sell us beer, easier times.
