Wondering if anyone can recommend a guy who knows his e30's near/south of dallas?

Well, I'm not sure how much you would want to go check it out, but I'd be willing to pay you. I'm not sure if you could meet the owner somewhere near Desoto that has a lift you could use? If we could work something out, I trust your expertise more than any BMW/Porsche/Merc shops around the area!

I'd do it for free, its no skin off my back. Covering the fuel to get there and back would be nice though. E30's are pretty simple cars and really I just poke through with a flash light and do a quick test drive and list any issues I find with a grade scale as to severity.

I don't know anyone in the area with a lift, but a jack is usually just fine.

Is this a NICE car thats worth the trouble or are you just being overly picky? I'd prefer to check the car out with you really... but I see you aren't local.
