Hey, can anyone help with some suggestions. I have a 94' 325i with lowered suspension and adjustable rear control arms, but i just cant seem to get my tires aligned properly so the rear tires dont wear at an accelerated rate. The wear is especially bad on the rear passengers side. I was thinking maybe the car was in a wreck i didnt know about and something is off. if anyone else has run into this problem or knows to to fix it please get back to me.

regards,
Aaron

that is normal for the right rear to wear out faster. I think this is due to it not having a LSD? Someone explained it to me but not sure how to explain it in detail. Some others can elaborate more. It has to due with your car's differential. All cars have them though some might be open differential, etc.

what are your alignment settings?

without LSD the right rear will spin more but you must be driving like a madman.

camber is adjustable in the rear, but only to a certain extent. negative camber will wear out the insides of the tires. especially with lowered cars, the camber goes more negative. I'd adjust the rear control arms to the least amount of negative I could. aside from that, you're probably stuck.

i had the same problem a year ago on my lowered 95 325is turned out the owner before me had the car towed or something and bent the rear control arms i replaced them with ajustable ones got the car aligned and havnt had a problem since. oh BTW i only got 2-3k miles out of a set of tires before i changed the control arms and have about 20k without any trouble on the tires on it now.

Check the toe as well, it can greatly accelerate tire wear. A quick and dirty way to estimate if its out is to measure the difference between the distance between to front side of the left and right rear tires and compare to the distance between the rear of rear tires. the front side will be approx 1/8-1/4" less distance apart.

Also check that your RTB's are ok.
