Hello fellow E46 enthusiast! I just recently acquired a 2001 M3 CAB that needs a clutch and flywheel. I have read the other threads on UUC and the JB racing recommendations. What do you guys think about:
a) ACT XACT Flywheels and Clutch kits are these good value or a waste of money?
b) What is the difference between 4 & 6 pad systems?
c) Will a JB racing flywheel work with stock SACHs clutch kit?

I just installed the OEM Sachs Clutch with a JB Racing flywheel....the JB Racing Flywheel can accept both sprung-hub and non sprung-hub clutches.
I only have around 50 miles on the setup, and need to be easy on it for 4-500 miles to break it in properly....so I cannot really comment on performance just yet....and just a word of warning - this setup does have noticeable chatter at idle with the car in neutral
If you going to get the clutch and flywheel, you should also replace the guibo, center mount, pilot bearing and several shifter components....I have 88K on my 2001 Coupe and the shifter was pretty worn....it felt very rubbery and not precise. After I replaced several bushings and bearings, it now feels like new...l can list all of the parts if you want...
