you can polish them out. its not a big deal. next time bring your car clean when you take it in, that way even if the retards don't understand english they probably won't wash it. you have to think 90% of the people they see bring their cars in for service probably subscribe to the "wash your car twice a year" policy.
so when the shop does wash the car... even though they probably took it out back and wiped it down with the floor mop...the customer is happy.

Yeah, get a silver car! No more swirls. Seriously, the SA should learn to take instructions from customers more carefully. If you are the type that is anal about how their car looks(I am), you are entitled to that feeling. It may cause you headaches and upset stomachs but its not illegal!!! There are many polishes out there that remove swirls. As for this particular incident, let it go and just learn from it.

Use 3M swirl mark remover with a porter cable polisher followed with PS21 polish and then wax. Always worked on my Jet Black BMW.

Next time you bring it in, have the service rep write on the workorder "no wash" and have him add that if they do, they owe you a detail job.

If the SR refuses (which I doubt he will) ask to see the service manager and threathen to call BMW and complain. Dealerships get dinged by BMW if their service quality ratings are poor.

Only way to get swirls out is with a machine...mine came with them from the factory...

And you still see swirls in silver :)

I beg to differ on both counts. I use a sealant/cleaner distributed by Gulf States Toyota in Texas. I apply it by hand. It has removed swirls from my black Corvette. The car looks like glass after an application. I have NEVER seen swirls in my silver Audi or BMW. You must have a "special" silver paint!!

I did talk to the service manage and he used every excuse in the book.

i asked him if he used the pressure washed he said no, i asked him if he used rags, he said the pressure washed only uses 100 psi ?????? BS

I feel yer pain bud...same thing happened to my black audi when I first took it in for service. The dealership did take responsibility tho, and had my car buffed and power polished but I learned to always have the note on the computer "DO NOT WASH CUSTOMERS VEHICLE" at all times.
