Thought I would put on the M5 rear sway at lunch.
No Luck.
The nut/bolt at the very end (links) is/are frozen.
The bolt just rotates with the nut.
(PB blaster was applied for a couple days)
Any tips ?
Thnx

you know you have to hold the "bolt" on the back side, next to the boot, with a thin open-end wrench?

Otherwise, yeah, the other end is a ball, and will just spin.

Are you going to replace the sway bar links too? I did.

What cpatstone said above. And if a bolt/nut fights me, I take out the torch and give a little Mr. Heat Miser treatment. :cool You can always run to Home Depot and get a mini torch for like $25.00 (get the hottest gas they sell, I buy the little yellow tank for small plumbing jobs, it's plenty hot. Most people buy a mini BBQ propane tank, spend a few dollars more and get a hotter gas, use propane for your BBQ!).

Yeah, $32.00 for a sway bar link is okay. Seems fair:

Get some Mobil 1 Synthetic lube (or whatever is suggested as best) and lube your bushings. I changed sway bars and links, felt
great.
