So, my E39 project has gone from worse to better, and back to worse. An aftermarket E39 M5 bumper I got has some issues. The bodyshop is taking care of most of them, but I'm missing some parts. Not sure if the vendor I got it from will help me, so I'm reaching out to my fellow E39ers as backup...
On the insides of our front bumpers, on the left and right side is a bracket that snaps onto the body of the car. The aftermarket bumper i got does not have these brackets. I've been told that those brackets are not sold separately. I'm seeing if the vendor will help me here, but I'm not hopeful.
So, the favor I ask my fellow E39ers is, if you know of a wrecked front bumper where you can salvage these "brackets" from, or you don't mind taking them off your old bumper (from after an upgrade), I would be very interested in buying them from you.
Thanks for any help...

The brackets are the parts of the bumper. They come together from the factory. Brackets are glued or hot melted to the bumper. What kind of bumper did you get????? and where did you get it from???

Yes, i know the bracket was suppose to be on the bumper. Unfortunately, they were not. I'm hoping the vendor will help me out here, so I'm not going to name names.
I was just hoping someone had a wrecked front bumper where the brackets were still in good shape. If so, one could cut off the "melted" tabs or grind off the "glue/epoxy" and remove the brackets without damaging them. Then I can "glue" or "melt" on those brackets to my M5 bumper...
Anyone?

Not until the vendor confirms they won't help me. Even then, I'm not going to name names in public. PM me later if you like.

Remove the brackets from your factory bumper and install them on the aftermarket one. I documented this in a post several months ago.

I want to keep my factory bumper if I want to revert back some day. Hence, I'm looking for a "donor" ... but I'm interested in your thread as I'll probably have to take it off some bumper. Link please?
