I got a hell of a deal on some through GE Corporate employee purchase program, see if your company has something similar. The deals change as well, so sometimes what you're looking for isn't that much cheaper than finding it on sale, othertimes it's quite a bit cheaper.

What all do you need?

IF we get the place (relo company owns it now) we want to buy fridge, dishwasher, micowave and stove.

Texas Appliance has the largest display of Built-in and free standing appliances in the State of Texas. They have a large scratch and dent department and my parents just save a bunch money by purchasing from the S&D area. Funny thing is we could not find a single scratch or dent on the stainless double oven they just bought and the stainless dish washer had a small dent on the side that's not even visable when installed. Very nice sales people too.

Find someone who works at GE. They can either buy them for you at a great deal, or set you up to buy it yourself at a pretty good deal.

We bought a refrig at the Sears scratch and dent in Carollton a few years ago. Was at Beltline and Josey....not sure if it is still there.

I just purchased a dish washer from Homeboy Depot. They are running a promo that any purchase over $299 you qualify for zero interest and no payments for six months. Not bad. I priced the same washer at Lowe's and they beat the price plus included free delivery.

I would price around as much as possible and printout info to take to each place because the model #s vary from store to store.

I ended up with the best deal on a fridge at Lowes, bought a cheap washing machine at Best B.
