I am curious where the 335i vs RS4 videos are. I realize they are mismatched but still surprised there has not been more posting. I have seen limited posts. I believe the 335i could offer a good run; although the RS4 will ultimately come ahead.

You're surprised the ultra rare RS4 hasn't been up against more 335s? That's an odd assumption.

I would not call the RS4 ultra rare world wide, maybe rare, but enough of aggressive drivers have them. If they were ultra rare I would not be able to walk down the street and buy one. It's almost like the RS4 crowd may be a bit apprehensive.

i've raced a few s4's we are pretty much even tll the higher gears, tho never from a stand still. rolling around 35-40 from toll booth me w/slight edge. higher gears i seem to pull harder. haad the lovely chance to play w/an porsche turbo. it was most exhilarating!!!! iv'e seen a couple of rs4's mostly older gentleman just cruising

RS4's are ultra rare, sure you can find them, but in terms of numbers sold they are probably in the 100s, even S4s aren't common enough...paying 75K for an A4 isn't something most people swallow, and those that do aren't going a Fast and the Furious with a HD 35mm video camera mounted. ;)

I just wish I could find more, maybe with time. I was trying to choose between an RS4 and 335i sedan, went with the 335i - I'm excited. I am an audi guy so I am kind of paranoid about a BMW, but I bet it will be great. Looking forward to it!

I didn't realise that the 335 and the RS4 were in the same category, the RS4 is the next level up....more an M3 competitor

Aren't the 335 and *current* M3 basically the same car performance-wise (at least in a race)? At least that is what the reviews all say.

I think he's talking about the new m3.

Correct.

Incorrect.

The E46 M3 (the one that is available for purchase in the states as of now) is the 335i competetor. The E92 M3 has 420 bhp. (at the crank) so without modifications (which includes something like a turbo tuner) the 335i would be toasted, especially around an Auto-X track.:buttrock
