Just to let everyone know never ever use customwheels.com

I placed an order on April 16 and nothing but trouble since placing that order. My initial order on Beyren rims, I was told the back rims were on back order and might take 1-2 months. I wasn't told this till about 1 week later.

I then checked and placed an order for different wheels, only to be told the back rims were no longer manufactured. I was told this one week after placing that order.

On 5-3-07, the sales manager tells me he has some chrome M3 rims, so I agree. I then findout 1 weeks later that he is waiting to get the rims from another warehouse.

On 5-10-07, they tell me the wheels have been shipped and that they shipped them via the Post Office at a tune of $200. It is now 5-17 and No wheels or rims.

Serves me right to not use Tire Rack. Tire Rack always came thru for me however they do not budge when you try to go wider on your tires. So I figured that Customwheels would accomodate me...WRONG

The crappy thing is that I was charged from the very first day. The rims I finally agreed on were cheaper then the Beyren's and they told me I would receive a refund adjustment check. I took a look at the invoice and saw that they switched tires on me which brought the cost back up and boosted the shipping from $150 to $200.

I tried to speak to the manager who is Scott Dale and now he is to busy to speak to me. They will only tell me your order was shipped and you will receive another email.

Just sharing a terrible ordering experience!!!:(

Sorry to hear about your woes, Gary. What I do with my CC company is dispute the charges and tell them the wheels have not been received. If they were sent USPS, I hope it wasn't Parcel Post. The P cars wheels took 7.5 weeks to get here and the seller did a crap job of packing my wheels (they only used pallet wrap :mad). I'm still waiting on my claim for damage as the rear lips were scraped in shipment. Repair costs would be $129 repair, $120 shipping, @$50 dismount/mount/balance. So the claim will be @ $600 for 2 rims.

it's only been about a month, so I don't think it's too late to dispute the charge on your credit card. They most likely shipped it via parcel post, so you'll have at least another week or two to wait. Don't let them bastards get away with this!

Actually I want to go to Tennesse and ring some peoples necks.

I'll give them another week, but you are right I will file a claim with my CC.

Bryan ouch on those wheels.

RDR, I got to take pictures of the 97 M3/4 with the clear corners and side markers.

The problem with the wheels is that I purchased them sight unseen. I sure hope it will be worth the wait. But will post the pictures.

How is the E39 coming along?

Correction on the site it is customwheel.com not customwheels.com

I finally tracked what kind of wheels I am getting and they are made by Detroit Replica and they are called DM3. Now if they only get in.:(

Oh... if you wanted replica wheels... Velocity Motoring has very good quality ones. And from what I heard, the service is good too.
I hope everything turns out well for you though.

Lesson learned, next time check with the members rather then trust advertising.

Don't worry... I was like that too when I first started BMW tuning.
Didn't know anyone that modded BMWs... so the first thing I got on my 325i was a full Dinan 3. lol... boy, was that a mistake.
