Ok, the car is officially totalled. I have two and a half folders full of receipts adding up to about $50,000. I stopped counting after $40k. Double O2 Salvage and other dismantlers tell me there is easily $15,000-$20,000 of parts is somone were to part it out. I had no idea there was so much money in the parts. I can't do it. Don't have the tools or the know how.
So, I am going to put the car up on Ebay but I thought I'd give you guys a shot first. The car runs and drives perfectly fine. When the kidney grills were pushed in, the a/c compressor line broke and the a/c doesn't work now. Otherwise it blew cold as hell here in Vegas. It doesn't overheat and there isn't a drop of an oil leak from the motor.
I'm looking to get $6,000 for the car. At this price, it's under the lowest 750 on ebay or autotrader by more than $3,000 and even now this car is in better shape than some of those. Then if someone is doing it for the first time, they can part out the car and make at least double and get $12,000 from the parts. If you know what you're doing, there's $20,000 worth of parts on this car. All pixels work. Tranny has about 50,000 miles. Safety glass is perfect with new tint. Ok, let me know. I dont get it??? 50k in damages and the buyer can still drive it home?? My 750 was hit too with a very expensive repair bill albeit lower than 50k but mine was not drivable.

He didn't say he had 50K in damages....he has receipts for 50K in mods and repairs....as I read it anyway.
