Yea so i was driving down Sunrise highway, and i notice this g35 trying to pace me. We catch the next red light, and he rev's his motor afew times. The light turns green we both ride out 1st gear to about 10 or so mph, and i wait for him to get on it. He does, and i get on it right after he does. I get alittle sideways(shot rtabs) then i get traction, and started pulling. by the end of second gear the g35 has a good look at my plates. I shut it down at the end of 3rd and i was about 2 1/2-3 cars ahead. I tryed to give him the thumbs up, and he didnt return the gesture. Btw the only mod i have is a AA crackpipe.

G35s are one of my favorite cars out today. One of my buddies have one, and they are really nice. The interior is very nice and the engine pulls nice and hard...Just not as hard as mine. :devillook

G35 and E36M = Drivers race
Nice kill man! But beware there is a guy lurking these forums that swears he killed a 335i with his basically stock G... LMFAO

i dont think the g35 is a drivers race, and i think i would have had by alittle more if my rtabs were not so shot. I'd say the 350z is more of a drivers race then the g35, but i havent lost to 1 those yet.:)

my friend ran an anniversary 350z (some more hp i guess?) with his 325is and lost literally by a fender... now if this is your 325is what would an m3 2 or 4 door do? i think that g35/350z is a drivers race and the m3 is at the finish waiting

Sorry to dissappoint you, but the g35 should be very close to the m3.

m3 should edge ahead, but the g should be hot on it's heels.

It's entirely a driver's race, but a lot of "slow" z's are simply driven poorly, and the z/g are cars that respond better to drivers than they do to mods.

the anniversary z dosen't make more hp, it has a few stickey bits and I think a bit of suspension/brake work.

That's only because you haven't run into one thats properly driven.

I have to really call BS here, a 325, I don't think so. I have a 325ci and I had a S2000. With the S2000 I have beaten some 350Z'z and lost to some. I never lost to a 325 and I beat most e36 M3's.

I havent lost to any g35's, 350z's, or s2000's. I'm sure it could happen, but it hasn't. I really dont think a g35 is a drivers race given equal cars/drivers. I think the the m3 will end beating it 9 out of 10x's. Out of those 3 cars i think the z has the best chance, but i have yet to lose to 1. Once i get my rtabs installed and my suspension is on par. I will go 350z hunting:stickoutt.

the annivesary z does have more hp, 13 hp, a 7000 rpm redline, and variable valve timing on both exhaust and intake cams.

Im going to have to agree with this guy 100%.

I could beat a 325 with a second gear launch. Sorry to the guy that thinks he beat a z in a 325.

Are you sure the guy was racing?

Your talking about a 15 second car beating a 13 second car. Your dreaming

i second that..No way a 325 will beat the 350z unless its gots MANY mods. I finally lost to a 350 after being too cocky about it. But never lost to a g35 or s2000. 350z are quick cars but i stilll hate em...

ahhh the e36 m3 vs 350 debate once again. i think this has been said 4 million tims and proved just as many but a stock tree fiddy will beat a stock e36 m3...all day long in a drag race.

Not trying to start anything but as many times that i have been to the track i never saw a stock G35 or Z hitting in the 13's.

Ummm i think your way off on that. Maybe you dont know how to drive your M///;).

I havent heard of g's doing it stock, but i have heard z's can do it with a great driver. I think the same goes for our cars. I'm not a g35 hater, nor a 350z hater. I just know i havent lost any of them, and once i get some more mods its not going to be even a race with either cars.:stickoutt

Im going off of the many stock timeslips that I have seen for the 13's comment.

And How the hell did this get turned into another beat 350z e36 m3 comparison?

Who cares. Both cars a f*cken slow in stock form anyway.

And Neither car was made to drag race. So who cares.

But the 350z looks better. :lol

FWIW,
Stock 350's are average trapping ~101mph, slightly faster than your average E36 M3. The 350 should pull an E36 up top, given equal drivers. There's no debating that. I used to own a 95 M3 and had many, many runs with 4 different stock 350's. Stock for stock, it'd be door to door until about mid 3rd gear and they would start to slowly, but surely, pull on me well into the triple digits.

I have a modded S52 and i pull ever so slightly (2CL from a dig to 100+) on 2 different G35s around where i live(1 auto, 1 manual, both have intake)

I think the new g35 should beat the e36 m3. Doesn't the new (2007?) g35 have 298hp?

I dont know what year it was, but it got owned. I also read somewhere that motor does not make much more power then the motor before it.

The 300hp (298hp) VQ motors respond better to mods and make 10-15whp more on avg over the older VQ motors but its the newest VQ's that take the cake...3.7L 333hp

The new G35 sedans (306hp...320hp old scale) will battle E36 M's and the G coupes (333hp)will flat out walk them much like the new 335i's (nice 105 traps)

The Z should be getting this motor by 2008 hopefully so the 2007 13.30s which Z's have run will be closer to high 12's stock

Then the GTRs arrive in the spring and will most likely run low 12's stock and deep into the 11's with minor mods....gotta love TT's with room to grow...
