Hey all. I'm new to this forum and I would like to start with a short story. My friend bought an '02 325 ci a couple of months ago and he let me drive it and i had a blast. I then went on a mad rage to look for a 330 ci(not to outdo him or anything, i just believe v6s should at least be 3 liters). I found a red convertible and i had everything figured out and planned to pay for it myself (I'm only 19). But after all of my hard work, my dad who bought me 2 new cars already (06 scion tc and 06 hyundai sonata(worst decision ever), he decides he doesnt like used cars so hes getting me a 335 ci at the end of the year or january which is my birthday. I was wondering if theres any tips for me on the maitenance and care of the car and what i should do. I just plan on getting tints and a bov, maybe make the bmw 5 spokes black or get the m3 rims(bad idea?) Can anyone help me out?

The 328, 330, and 335 are all inline 6's not V6's. The best thing you can do is just read up on all the past posts on here and you will find a lot of information on mods. There are separate sub-boards on detailing, sound equipment, and whatever. If you have a specific interest, use the "Search" function and it will take you right to all of the posts involving that topic. I personally do not like black wheels and think the BOV mod is a bad idea, but that's just my opinion. Welcome aboard.

Have you ever posted any photos of your car? You have a color combo I am interested in and would like to see, if possible.

"BOV"? I've seen it used a lot, but have yet to figure out what it means...any help? (probably something very simple eh?...)

Blow Off Valve from the turbos. The mod will make your 335 sound like a ricer IMHO.

This is all that I have with me. One is before the Sport Shifter and the other is after. The Gray Poplar always looks a little brownish in pictures with sun hitting it. In real life, you really don't see that and it looks lack/gray. The leather is darker than the pics too because of the bright sunlight.

Thanks. Looks good. Do you like the sport shifter?

yeah.i kinda wanted to get a bov to separate myself from the non-turbos and i think turbos just sound proper with them. i do like the short shifter if i got a manual i think that is the way to go. i dont want it to look like a ricer or a drug dealer car, just nice.

Adding the Sport Shifter was the best $118 I've spent since I got the car. It improves the shifting considerably and I like it a lot. :shifty

I think it sounds sweet as-is. The BOV mod could be a problem if you end up with any warranty issues. :rolleyes
