So I was sitting at a stop light comming back from the coast. The light turned green and I accelerated to get in the middle lane. That is when I see a mercedes going as fast as me that wants to race. We come to a red light. I romp on it when it turns green and we stay pretty much even as I go to second gear. In third gear going up to fourth he starts pulling on me hard and gets about 2 car lengths on me then proceeds to get infront of me letting me know he won. The next stop light I turned off my traction control and didn't get beat as badly. All in all it was a fun unexpected race. Anyone know the specs on these?

I just have a borla exhaust. He beat me both times. I only kept up when we first took off when I was in first gear shifting to second. Once I shifted he started pulling hard.

Well it definently beat me. I know anyone can put a badge on the back. It had quad exhaust if that makes a difference. I'll try to find a picture of a look alike car.

Well according to the web, the Brabus S500 has a 6.1 liter engine with 462 HP and 615 Nm torque. Bodywork will look sportier than a regular S500 and also has 20" wheels, a black grill and 4 pipes at the rear.
From standing start it'll do a qtr mile in 13.85 secs. But... the Lorinser S L55 version is slightly faster at 13.78 secs.
325 should do qtr mile in about 14.5 secs so not so much difference but from a standing start the 325 should be slightly ahead up to about 60mph then the S500 will take over but not by much. The S is damn heavy by comparison.

The weakest ('00 - '06) S500's have the 5.0 SOHC 24V V8 w/ 302hp & 339ft-lbs. ('92 - '99) S500's have 315hp and 340+ ft-lbs. All models ran 0 - 60 in the low 6's w/ q/m in the mid-high 14's at 95+.

I've raced an '01 S500 and an '05 SL500. They are not slow. Both races were on the highway from 60+ and I hung w/ them both. It was even.
