Hi all, I've been putting BP 91 in my M3, but I just noticed the other day that a label says 10% ethanol is added in the 91. Is this normal? What brand doesn't have Ethanol added?

Sunoco, Shell tend to not have any ethanol. Ethanol is becoming more common since the war.
Some cars...in particular Japanese makes, have had some O2 Sensor issues with Ethanol, but I have not heard of it having a problem with the M3.

Ethanol is becoming more common because most states REQUIRES it as an oxygenate instead of MTBE. You're thinking of E85, which is 85% ethanol and 15% gas.

question E85 is cheaper then reg. right? supreme is reg. with ethanol added to it but only like 10% or so to boost the octane right? shouldnt it be cheaper then the regular then?

what makes you so sure that gas is gas....as long it doesn't knock or freezes your sure its some type of fuel for a 50k auto
