Has any one have a dealer or service advisor tell you that you need an alignment and you have to replace all 4 tires due to cupping. I own a 2006 325 xit sports wagon with the sports pkg. I have 12,000 miles and they tell me that my 225/45 R17 Turanzas are cupping and the car is out of alignment. I have never hit a pothole and the car rides straight however the tires are cupping. They feel sharp on the inside when I ran my fingers towards the back of the tire and felt smooth when the fingers ran towards the front.
I think this is a problem with run flat tires on the 4 wheel drive alignment specs from BMW, and they are trying to pin it on us...

I think Turanza tires are being replaced as part of recall or something..some people got them replaced for free at the dealers.

Alignments are called for regularly, pulling doesn't indicate geometry changes.

Yes if you have less tha 10,000 miles BMW will cover the replacement at 100%, 10k to 20K you have to pay 50%, >than 20K you pay 100%. I had mine replaced by BMW yesterday at 100%, I was at 9,850 miles.

it's the tires. The Turanza's are peices of shit, and cup really bad. I doubt an alignment would help.

however, all BMW tires do cup to a certain extent, it's just the suspension geometry of a BMW, some are worse than others. But the Turanza's on an E90 are by far the worst.

Yes the Turanzas are what BMW replaced for me, with the Contis...
