I just bought a great 2004 m3, i love it. I'm planning to do alot of track time this summer and was wondering about the tires i should use. I've heard alot of m3 owners use 265 on all four. Also, i'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for a quality, relatively inexpensive tire?
Thanks for your help.

Being that you are gonna be new to the tracking thing.....I suggest Falken Azenis RT-615 255/40/18 all around. Great all around tire for autox and DE's. Falkens run a bit wider too so it is almost like 265's all around. They are about $150 each.

Dumb question ---

Can you run those on the stock staggered wheels?

I need new tires too...

The Bridgestone pole positions have been fantastic. Are the Falkens as good?

If you want dedicated r comp tires, either toyo ra1's or the nitto equivalent(same company makes them). Not the cheapest but they seem to last a long time making them a good value.
Otherwise, what others have said, like the falkens and I believe hankook makes one now and just a really good street tire, depending on your goals.
