Hi, I'm looking for help in identifying and any information on, a pre-production 2001 M3 cabriolet.
Through the M Registry I hear this might be the 1st car off the assembly line.
When did the European cabs come out? I hear this is the 1st pre-production car of US spec. It was built in May, 2000. Production started in April, 2001.
What usually happens to these pre-production cars? Any pictures from the assembly line, magazines, auto shows?
Serial # WBSBR93461EX20000 Steel grey, light grey leather interior, black top, xenons, Park distance, 6sp manual, cd changer, 18" pewter mags, hardtop(missing when I bought the car). the stitching on the front seats is different to some later cars I've seen.
EX20000 to 007- May 2000
EX20008 to 018- Aug 2000
A few more before April 2001 production start.
No other pre-production cars have shown up in the M Registry.
