Yes, I was just making the point that USPS does not provide tracking on priority mail. If it gets lost, they have no way to find out where it got lost, or where it was last seen. If you take priority mail and add insurance and delivery confirmation, you could've gotten FedEx ground or UPS ground with bona fide tracking AND built-in insurance (up to $100) at a better price.

Sorry to dump on your thread, but this is a pet peeve of mine.

Btw, do you happen to know if that alt fits an M52? How many miles did it have when pulled?

yes, I meant confirmation number. if you prefer ups or fedex ground, i'd do that instead, just think USPS's service is better

Actually, you got a point about the tracking. Updated original post, I'll ship FEDEX ground.

The alternator does fit an M52. I bought it used and didn't end up using it, so i don't have a way to find out the miles on it.

Quick clarification, if you don't mind. When you say that the DME has no chip, you mean nothing at all, as in, not functional out of the box at all and not just no performance chip, correct?

I may be interested depending on the condition of the "chip" in mine (water got into the compartment, sigh..) and if I check and they're the same type of DME. Would you be able to ship using something like overnight if I pay the actual cost of shipping?

Correct, no chip is included.

If you have water damage, there is a good chance your chip is still good, the chips themselves are pretty durable.

I'd be willing to ship however you want.
