Mr. M3 05-12-2007, 11:04 PM Just the camera lense being so close to the cams. It exaggerated the curve of the lense. I took close up pics to show that there is no scorring on the cams. Look at the first pic in my post to get a broader overview of the cams. Thay are definatly not bent, cams don't bend, they break rather than bend since they are hollow.
mars3554 05-12-2007, 11:46 PM possibly interested then. Tell me, on a nonvanos block, whats the difference between the s52 lifters and the m50 lifters? I got a motor sitting around to toy around with.
Mr. M3 05-13-2007, 01:36 AM Well the lifters are the same for the 323, 328 and all e36 m3's. So if you put M3 cams into a 323, these lifters would work perfectly with the cams! However, on a non-vanos block such as an older 325 m50, the lifters are different to accomodate different less agressive cams and different valve/valve springs. If you were to build up an m50 nonvanos motor with m3 cams, I would definatly upgrade your valve springs and lifters with oem m3 lifters and springs, so there would be a lower chance in your valves floating. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask. If you are also interested in purchasing these, PM me. Thanks
