OK
I read that guys have problems with theirs actually popping out as their driving.

In my case.
It is only as I put it in 1st as soon as I let off the clutch it pops out.Like I didnt have it in all the way.
I experimented hard and thourougly in 1st gear as it was definitly enguaged.

I was in stop/gotraffic and went ballistic trying to get it to pop out of gear and it wouldnt.

It seems like for some reason and its prettty rare,That when i put it in 1st,it doesnt completly enguage.

Since I heard about that stupid valve,Im thinking maybe its contributing to this.
Also maybe my clutch isnt being completly disenguaged when IM putting it in 1st and thats the reason its not enguaging in the gear properly?

60k mile car dealer maintained ,clutch ha splenty of life.
Im also thinking its possible my slave cylinder may need to be bled?
I notice some funny clicking when I shift gears.
Is there any linkage in the shifter? Or any strange mechanics under the boot or close by? external shifter stops?

Poping out of gear could be from worn bushings in the shifter linkage. If not that, the cause is a worn selector fork or ring in the transmission,

Popping out of gear means you need to replace first gear synchro set and possible the gear also

Anyone have a diagram of the shifter linkage?

Im sure the linkage is at fault..It didnt do it for like 4 weeks and did it once yesterday.

Well actually,I was positive it was all the up where 1st should be,it felt like something grabbed te shifter and pulled it out of gear.

I have a feeling that something in the trans isnt moving all the way over sometimes like it should.

I need a diagram.

thats what I was thinking, sounds like a synchro problem of some sort.
