I was cleaning my shark the other day and I had an idea, and just wanted some feedback. I think it would look awesome to crome out the metal bars behind the air openings in the hood. Since my car is black and the obvious chrome strips accent the color nicely, how do u think the chrome emerging from the engine compartement look?

I say do it. And post pictures. Lots of pictures. Theoretically it should look nice. If those grill bars that surround the headlights and cross the entire front end were able to be chromed (can't because they are plastic) that would be sweet as well. Maybe some chrome striping would be in order there.

You say plastic can not be chromed but what is the process that is done to many of the plactic pieces on the interior? What about the "chrome" on plastic models? Not bashing but what is this process? Is it a type of chrome or a different process? Could that be done to these parts and last thru the elements?
