View Full Version : Looking for good Detailing in CT
TheForgotten 05-08-2007, 04:21 PM As my title states, I am in desperate need of a good BMW detailer. I am willing to travel to most anywhere in CT to get this done, as I am somewhat centralized, however I would prefer to stay in the area of Middlesex county.
I spoke with somebody today and they said they recommend me take my car to an auto body shop and have them run a buffing wheel through the whole car. The paint is in rough shape, tons of oxidation, wheels have brake dust caked onto them, and the interior isn't too much better... in need of a good carpet shampoo, etc.
I really want this car to shine, and I don't mind paying quite a bit to get this back to looking presentable. Please, recommendations are really needed here. I want to get this done this weekend, possible early next week, but the earlier the better.
(BTW, I did search around, and made calls to numerous BMW Dealerships in CT... none promising yet.)
SimonME30 05-08-2007, 04:52 PM I have the solution for you in CT. call me, 860 601 0214. My brother details only high end cars, Ferrari, Benz, etc. He is undoubtedly the best I know, and the only one I will let touch my car. (1988 E30 M3 with only 54K, magazine cover car.) I am sure he would do your car as a fellow forum member. I just asked him and he would be willin gto do it this weekend.
GrimReefer 05-08-2007, 09:41 PM i made a post earlier this week asking the same question. i was planning on going to 'datails by dennis' which is about 3 minutes from hammonasset.
where is your brother's shop simon? think he would be available to do mine too? i was hoping for thursday or friday.
TheForgotten 05-09-2007, 01:05 AM That sounds awesome, I will give you a call tomorrow. What time is best for you?
Where is this located in also?
GrimReefer 05-09-2007, 01:48 AM is it cool if i give you a call too?
TorqueMS 05-09-2007, 02:15 AM you guys would mind taking a drive to nyc?
TheForgotten 05-09-2007, 03:35 AM NYC is a bit too distanced, especially because it wouldn't be just one trip but two, one to drop the car off and one to pick it back up.
GrimReefer 05-09-2007, 11:18 AM yeah nyc is about 2 hours away depending on traffic
SimonME30 05-09-2007, 11:25 AM I have responded to both of you Via PM, I have left my number 860 601 0214 and I can be reached at this number anytime. My brother would definitely do both of your cars, we just have to arrange the times. Thanks
lcjhnsn 05-12-2007, 09:45 PM I'm interested in fnding a good detailer in CT too. But I'm in SE CT. I work in Groton, so I'd be looking for someone around there. I'd like to get the car clayed & waxed before the CCA-CVC "Show n Shine next Sunday (5/20)
TheForgotten 05-16-2007, 01:10 AM Well, just got the car back today and I am truly impressed with the quality of work that was performed on my vehicle.
I am going to post pictures of how it looks tomorrow. I highly recommend this to anybody in the area!
Quite a few people have already told me "Wow, it looks like its brand new!" And "Holy crap, thats the same car?!"
Bump for a great job and awesome people. Thanks a ton!
SimonME30 05-16-2007, 02:07 AM TheForgotten, thanks for the opportunity to let me(Rob) show you what I can make happen. I have to agree, the car looks like brand new and I never believed it could happen. That paint came to life.
