when i mean safe, can you leave your car door unlocked overnight and not worry?

i know quite few people that lives around the area, they all loves chinese food too. lol.. i dont think you want to leave your car door unlocked anywhere in New York, on that note its a pretty safe area but my friend's car got keyed there last time.

I used to play tennis at Forest Hills. It was very nice and pretty cool to play on center court where some of the greatest in the world played. Of course this has nothing to do with your question so consider it a bump.

My girlfriend went to school there..Its a nice area but I wouldnt leave your car unlocked anywhere in NY... Jacob the jewler lives there..Idk if u ever herd of him..

I grew up the better part of Forest Hills. I am very very familiar with the hood. My parents and relatives still live there. You can PM me if you have any specific ques. about the hood.

Its one of the better neighborhood in Queens. The population density makes parking a nightmare there. One draw is the 4 major highway in the hood plus Queens blvd. The downside is that car thieves are drawn to it as well. :(

Should be OK, not a bad place but like others said, not a place to leave the car unlocked. Really it's on the border of Rego Park which is pretty good.

Parking sucks balls over there but you're close to ALOT of good stuff.

Dan, you are going to move there? Thats right by me. I have a lot of friends that live in Rego Park/Forest Hills. Definitely the better part of the 5 boroughs for sure. Give me a call and I'll tell you about it.

My cousin's HONDA CIVIC on lease, parked on Austin St, by their driveway in the back...stole all 4 wheels, was on top of beer crate...she also had her corner lights taken away...problem is that it gets very dark at night over there, poor street lighting.

She was so pissed off because she had to spend $ when she returned the car to the dealer last year.

On 71st St, rock was blown at the window of a brand new maxima. Navigation and other things had been stolen. Other wise, good nighborhood. Lots of cops petroling.

Real safe. My girlfirend works out there. So im usually around there 3 days a week. No incidents with my ///M.. Parking is usually a bit**ch though

There are a lot of cops patrolling but then again my friend almost got her ass kidnapped on QB. I guess it depends on your luck. I think my neighborhood is safer because my house door hasn't been locked for the past 18yrs I've been living there and I can fit 2 cars in front of my house. But hey you still got Wiggles :boobies

they will take you there in about 1 hour

F.H. is a nice enuff place, upscale compared to most other Queens hoods used to live there few years back. Has a very eclectic mix of nationalities (Mixed relationships) and Austin Street is lively but tightly compacted!

If you like the City then it's the place 4 you.

F.H. is prolly the top 3 expensive neighborhoods in queens. Dunno, its not that that diverse compared to other hoods in queens. Its starting to become a bit younger yuppie people moving in the last 5 yrs. Before that it was a nice handful of old people.

Honestly, owning a car in FH can be a horror unless you own a house or pay montly for a parking space.

Yeah lotta younger ppl movin in now, my daughter and her b-friend jus purchased a CO-OP on 69th!
And when we visit them its a dance with the DEVIL FOR PARKIN! He got rid of his car and they pay for one spot.
