Unfortunately I have decided to sell my M3. It is a '99 cosmos w/ tan interior and 80,850 miles on the odometer. I am the second owner, first owner was a very good friend. I have lots of records since I have owned the car showing regular and preventative maintenance and also some performance goodies. I am asking $18,200 obo.

Man your friend was the biggest tire kicker I have ever dealt with. We negotiated for over two weeks, I turned away other interested people bc he said we wanted to purchase. I tried to work out shipping details and then when I ask for a deposit, he tells me this car is not for him. WOW what nerve some people have wasting others time.

Sorry to vent in this way but I believe I have a very nice car here for sale, that someone will appreciate, and now I have turned away those people bc of some tire kicker.

I hope someone here will appreciate the time I have put into this car.

He will take great care of what ever car he buys. Any e36 over 13k thats not F/I would be a long purchase for me as well. Lots of money for a car that you can buy for thousands less with just a few more miles.

It takes time to sell cars like this. My brother spent 7 months selling a 97 Estoril on black with mods for 24k. It will sell, but it takes time.

Thanks for the great comments but next time don't make an offer to someone, tell them you will have the money on Monday and agree to purchase the car but when asked for a deposit back out. Sorry to sound like an A$$ but this is the second person on the forum to work out a deal with me on this car and then back out after a deposit was asked for. I have turned people away b/c these two sellers promised they weren't blowing smoke up my A$$ :mad.

I have put a lot of time and effort to keep this car the way it is and I hope someone out there will not waste my time.

I've learned the hard way too. Never turn down another buyer until you have a deposit. If they really want the car they'll get you one.
