My situation started about a month ago. I was in the market to get a new shift knob and e-brake handle to go along with my new M3 clutch assembly that I bought. I went to NA Motorwerks and I noticed that they had the shift knob and the E-Brake handle that I was looking for. I purchased the OEM Pearlescent Chrome shift knob, and the E-Brake to match it. On their website, it states that the E-Brake will in fact fit in my E36. The shift knob according to them will not fit on my E36. I talked to my parts guy, and he told me that an shift knobs made after 1984 are universal, meaning that they will fit all models.

I soon found out that my parts guy was right. The oem shift knob fit like a charm. The E-Brake handle, unfortunately did not work. I went back to NA Motorwerks site, just to double check and see if the E-Brake would fit. According to them, they said that it would. I took the my E-Brake off, and tried putting on the new one. Would not fit, the opening on the bottom part of the handle is too small. So, I got upset by it, because they were not accurate with the fitment. The next day, I called NA Motorwerks directly, and no one picked up. I called again later and tried the same extension...still no answer. I called back again and tried a different extension....STILL no answer.

I called them back on a Monday, and finally someone picked up. I don't remember who the name was, but I told him my situation, I gave him my name, and my google and order number. I asked him to see if I could get another E-Brake that is of equal value, or if I could get the ACS knob (if it was close to the same price). He told me that the ACS E-Brake handle is $200.00. I asked him if there was anything else in that type of design. He said "yes, we have one that is of the same design but different color. it's a gunmetal style not pearlescent chrome, and it will fit."

At that time, I didnt have the time to see if he was full of it. I just took his word for it. He told me that he would have shipped out the next day, and that when I receive the handle, to have me ship back the other handle. After 3 weeks, still no new knob, or no refund at all. I am usually a very patient person when it comes to out of state orders. However, 3 weeks and no response to emails, nor phone calls is just ridiculous.

I talked to someone who used to work for NA Motorwerks, and I forwarded him the email confirmation of my order, and he specifically told him to handle it, either with a refund or the knob that I was promised with the difference in price refunded.

I told myself that if NA Motorwerks does not handle this manner in a professional action by either refunding me the money with a check in the full amount, or the charges on my credit card. I will call the bank and reverse the charges. I urge people out there to watch out for people like this. It would be a crying shame if this happened to someone else.

Hi I'm Tom I handle all the Forum Customer Service for NA .. I was able to track down the "notes" section for your order..

Sorry to hear about your problems w/ your order... I think that there was some miscommunication on this order.. Zak was under the impression that you were sending back your "ebrake" and then he would send the new one out to you.. which is reasonable.. somehow you didn't interpret the call that way.. We apologize for the hassle over a ebrake ... this should have been an easy order to handle..

We have been growing at very fast rate of late and are making some strides to get the phone situation handled.. (leaving a message usually will get a return call for future reference) :)

We do pride ourselves on taking care of our customers .. and we would like to take care of this for you.. please PM me and we can get this resolved :alright

Lol you guys are awesome. I only ever had issues with you guys charging before actually finding out if the item is in stock or not. I see now that you guys usually list the item availbility, which is cool.
