It's nothing like you'd find in the mountains... and I'm sure the FL road engineers never thought about it that way... and it was a probably a total mistake, but ... it's all I have...:evil2

That's insane, is that a real picture?

If I had access to a road like that I would wait until 3 or 4 AM when no one was on the roads, then take the cloverleaf at 120 :)

Where exactly is that? I visit some friends in Hollywood and Miami about once a month. Some directions from say, the Turnpike?

Yup... that's a real picture.

Starting at the upper yellow line... head west (that's SR 84).
Take SR84 West to 441 South
Take 441 South to SR84 East
Pull first U turn on 84 to do it all over again...

It's near the Florida Turnpike and I595. Take the turnpike to I595, take I595 west, exit Davie Rd. At the Davie Rd. traffic light, make the U Turn under I595 and take I595 east... exit SR84 East. Make First UTurn on SR84 and you'll be at the beginning of the top yellow line.

ha! ha!

I grew up in Miami Beach. Flat.

At the end of the street, was this sidewalk with about a 3 foot drop over say 25 feet.

We called it the "hill" and that's where we took all the wheeled devices!

I heard that Illinois (or was it Indiana?) is the flattest state in terms of elevation change. Hard to believe after living in Florida.

AHAHHAHAa, I used to work out that way and would purposely get on the highway the wrong way to take some off ramps, then on ramps, etc...

Nice One Kevlar :alright

I ran it tonight ... 3rd time to get the feel for it.

Good news... there are no guardrails to bump into
Bad News... there are no guardrails and it's a long way down.

The car is so well balanced and it just loves to rip this stuff up. I wasn't even pushing it as it was the first time putting this corners in succession and easily each time I went through it, I found myself acquiring some serious speed without even realizing it ... and that wasn't even pushing.

If you're not careful, you can get yourself into trouble fast on this section of road, especially going into the first round-a-bout as you have to go over a crest and then WHAM the corner starts right there.

On the last run out there... I saw two bikes going at the first section. I only saw them for a few seconds before they disappeared into the distance to get onto the second roundabout.

BTW.... did I mention the abundance of skid marks?

I kept hearing about twisties off of 595, but never knew exactly where . . . I'll have to check it out . . .

So far I've been content with the back roads near Homestead-Miami Speedway, but the past few times I've been down that way they have been caked with gravel and mud from side roads in too many spots . . .
