Am looking at a purportedly perfect very low mileage 2004 Z4 this weekend. Are there any special problem areas to check for?

I have a 2.5i, and don`t know if the following applies to the 3.0.. but here are my quirks.
1- "CLUNK" door sound when closing.
2- "TOCK" sound when I hit a bump when car is cold.
3- "DINK" sound when closing gas door.
4- "SQWEEK" sounds when driving top down.
5- If hood is up, make sure wipers are down.

Other than that... car is fantastic. :bawl

Do you know what the build date is? If the build date is 04/2004 or later you will have the remote top down feature.

How do I find the build date of my Z4? Mine was registered 20/5/2004 but not sure when it was built...

What is different in the later ones to allow the remote top down feature?

I am a little late for this thread... Did you pick the car up? The one special area that I had a problem with is where my foot hits the gas pedal and won't lift up haha!
