My friend bought a sweet pheonix yellow e46 m3 from Jamaica Buick on Hillside Ave in queens. They told him it had only 2 previous owners. Car had about 30000 miles. Withing the first couple weeks he needed new rear tires and a new battery. Then the parking/transmission/check engine light/abs/asc lights would stay on after starting the car even if nothing seemed to be wrong. Then an annoying sound turned out to be a worn wheel bearing. My friend tried to see if he can possibly turn it in to a bmw dealership and sign for something else, losing $2000 in the process but whatever. Well they told him that the car had 4 previous owners and the warranty was voided because one of the previous drivers beat up on the car like it was tina turner. To add injury to insult, the car was officially declared a lemon b/c most problems in its history occured BEFORE 5K MILES! So after Jamaica buick told him it was appraised at $33k when he bought it, the bmw dealership said that the car is only worth $15k at the most. The only reason he bought the m3 from there b/c a friend of mine bought a Dodge Magnum a week before which, low and behold, started giving him major problems way too early.
