that looks like quite a wreck, but is that really an m3? I see the valve cover, bumpers, mirrors, wheels and moldings...but arent those stock skirts?

those are lux skirts, which came on luxury packaged m3s along with the slatted front bumper

Being a Former Suffolk County Vollie, yep your absolutly right... there are some departments out there that race eachother to see who can get a roof off first, they saw a chance, and went for it...

Car was desctroyed anyways...If you were pinned in the car, you would want every tool possible to get your ass out. Knowing the car and the console, he was probably wedged in between the console and the wheel.

If you have the tools, use them. And yes, it was nescessary to remove the roof. You dont just drag the guys out of the car, you remove the car around the victim.

Id rather have them cut the roof, making the car 100% totaled and me being able to get a new car accident free.

Plus it doesn't look like the drivers door could open anyway and I'm sure he was pinned in.
