Nataliator 05-02-2007, 12:28 PM that looks like quite a wreck, but is that really an m3? I see the valve cover, bumpers, mirrors, wheels and moldings...but arent those stock skirts?
synthply 05-02-2007, 12:58 PM those are lux skirts, which came on luxury packaged m3s along with the slatted front bumper

Honestly this guy is right, any chance they get to use those "jaws of life" they do. That was completely unnecessary to take the roof off!

Being a Former Suffolk County Vollie, yep your absolutly right... there are some departments out there that race eachother to see who can get a roof off first, they saw a chance, and went for it...
Dont even get me started on nassau police... :rolleyes
MartinV 05-02-2007, 02:05 PM Hey! Why open the passenger door when you can cut the roof off!!!
dello 05-02-2007, 02:56 PM what's up with li and all these bad accidents every week?

Car was desctroyed anyways...If you were pinned in the car, you would want every tool possible to get your ass out. Knowing the car and the console, he was probably wedged in between the console and the wheel.
If you have the tools, use them. And yes, it was nescessary to remove the roof. You dont just drag the guys out of the car, you remove the car around the victim.
seeyalaterrr 05-02-2007, 03:18 PM Id rather have them cut the roof, making the car 100% totaled and me being able to get a new car accident free.
Maybe I should show this to my mom, she always said she wanted a vert. :dunno

+1
Plus it doesn't look like the drivers door could open anyway and I'm sure he was pinned in.
seeyalaterrr 05-02-2007, 03:34 PM They arrived to find a silver BMW in a parking lot alongside Newbridge Road with the driver pinned in the vehicle.
Apparently driver was pinned in.
