View Full Version : is this price good??
M6wannaBcsi 05-01-2007, 11:32 AM hey all, well... i was just trying to figure out if $2000 was a bad price for my 1984 633csi with 88k on it. i understand that i don't have pics of the car, but still... $2000 obo for a 6er with 88k isn't that bad, right?
jbd5015 05-01-2007, 11:38 AM Not at all, any other details on the car? Mechanical/body condition, dont need pictures, but i think you know what i mean. If the car is well documented you should be able to get more for it. I paid $2k for an 83 with 130k on it, although it came with suburban load full of parts that were worth a good bit of money.

M6wannaBcsi 05-01-2007, 12:04 PM body has no rust nor body damage, sadly all documentation was destroyed in a fire that also consumed the original owner... sad story really. i watched a parts car go for $3200 if horrible condition, interior was stripped and all, and i can't seem to get $2k for my running 6er
M3/4 LIFE 05-01-2007, 12:55 PM why cant you get pics of the car? if you need help posting ... i could do that for you. sdcbassman@comcast.net
m6affliction 05-01-2007, 01:17 PM I think as long as there isn't anything MAJOR that's wrong with the car, it's not a bad price. But you can bet that there will be little things that add up, so count on putting money into this car (or just about any other 6er for that matter.) The question really is, are there better cars out there for $2000?
M6wannaBcsi 05-01-2007, 01:41 PM i'm not trying to buy, i'm trying to sell, lol. i can host pics, i just don't have a digi camera.
dm635 05-01-2007, 10:25 PM i paid $1500 for mine.was able to make the intial 60 mile drive home. had been neglected and sat for at least a year, probably more. now have more than that invested. just rolled over 212k yesterday.
son recently purchased an 86 from the same friend/mech for $700. he got got an excellent deal.not drivable,YET(but runs) very complete and straight.has clutch issues and needs much TLC and sorting out. it also pretty much ended up being abandoned by it's owner at at this good old bimmer mech's shop like mine and my friend gave us a deal on another ol 6 worth saving. also came with Zender side skirts, rear spoiler and can't tell what the rear apron is.
any 6 in good running condition is easily worth what you're asking. the problem is finding that person.. advertise everywhere. i would pay more to do less work. my next 6 will rust free. this one has just a little in the rockers in front of the rear tires. alot of the bolts in the engine compartment are siezed that have never been touched. car-fax shows it started in St. Louis

terry740 05-02-2007, 12:06 AM Overall condition? trans type, any rust? color? etc.
M6wannaBcsi 05-02-2007, 07:34 AM well, it was stripped for paint and primed so that the color it is now, b4 though it was delpin gray with red leather. it's a 5spd and no rust. it needs very little actually. driver seat is coming apart at the stitches, but can be sewn, other than that and a few cracks in the dash interior is pretty damn clean. it's my dd, so it does run. it needs a valve adj. for sure though, and it has a bad icv. not a bad car over all, i drive 45 miles daily.
M6wannaBcsi 05-03-2007, 10:53 AM oh, and yes...i'm trying to sell.
